We’ve faced a number of challenges in our years of experience supplying industrial bearing supplies. An example was when a client required assistance to design bushings but they were difficult to lubricate. Thus, facing severe contamination and overload. We addressed these issues efficiently by providing our technical expertise. We proceeded to design innovative products, collaborating with the customer to optimise bearing selection.

When choosing between maintenance-free and maintenance-bound bearings, the right option depends on your machinery’s specific needs, operating conditions, cost considerations, temperature range, and application environment.
For instance, SBS’ LUB-MET® is a maintenance-free bearing material designed for high-performance use. It offers load capacities of <150 N/mm² (static) and <100 N/mm² (dynamic), along with excellent temperature resistance up to 350°C. Its self-lubricating properties make it ideal for applications where regular greasing is impractical, such as underwater or hard-to-access environments.
In contrast, BRO-MAS® is a maintenance-bound material with load capacities of ≤150 N/mm² (static) and ≤60 N/mm² (dynamic), and a temperature tolerance ranging from -40°C to +150°C. Because it requires regular lubrication, BRO-MAS® is well-suited for dirty or contaminated environments where routine greasing helps flush out foreign particles from the bearing surface.
